Vidyan BioCommerce Pvt. Ltd., (VBC) is a technology translation company that was born out of the need to address challenges faced by academic research institutions in translating, transferring and commercializing innovative technologies developed by their research teams, to the industry. We started our journey as an affiliate of one of India's premier research institutes, for assisting them in the commercialization of lab-scale technologies they developed. Today, we are a crucial link between researchers/innovators and their relevant industry partners. The applications of modern industrial biotechnology are so broad and the advantages so compelling, that virtually every industry is now exploring suitable applications. While at Vidyan, we are committed to taking any innovation to its commercial end-point, we have chosen to focus on specific sectors and applications within Bioprocessing. We apply the techniques of modern chemical engineering, biosciences and integrated fractionation-transformation-separation and related technologies to improve the efficiency and reduce the environmental impacts of industrial processes. At Vidyan, we invest in finding ways to adopt and adapt, innovative and integrated technologies so as to augment their viability through improved efficiency and productivity. In doing so, we generate new income streams for all the stakeholders involved – researchers, manufacturers, investors as well as end consumers. As a part of this endeavor, we have put together a note-worthy bouquet of scalable technologies, in collaboration with the research teams at our affiliate research institute, in several sectors and industrial areas.
