Intern at Innovation Design and Entrepreneurship Academy (iDEA) - Dhaka, Dhaka Division, Bangladesh
The " innovation Design and Entrepreneurship Academy (iDEA) Project " implemented by the Bangladesh Computer Council (BCC) under the ICT Division is moving forward with a firm belief in building a startup culture in Bangladesh since 1 July 2016. The main objective of the project is to establish an innovation ecosystem and entrepreneurship culture in Bangladesh. Creating an organizational structure to identify, nurture and promote great ideas, etc. are additional aims of the project. In order to serve this purpose, the project is providing financial and technical support to startups. The project is awarding grants up to BDT 10 lakh in the pre-seed stage of the startups. The iDEA project is also providing training, mentoring, business development support, co-working space, legal support, intellectual property rights, partnership support, etc.iDEA project is working to create skilled manpower and entrepreneur through training and mentoring in the ICT sector, besides making a significant contribution to the implementation of Digital Bangladesh. In addition, iDEA Project has been playing a major role in promoting entrepreneurship as well as promoting startup culture in the IT sector in Bangladesh with its "Startup Bangladesh" theme.In recognition of the work, the iDEA project won the ASOCIO awards at "2019 ASOCIO-PIKOM DIGITAL SUMMIT" in the ICT Education Category on 12 November 2019 in Malaysia by the "Asian-Oceanian Computing Industry Organization (ASOCIO)", one of the largest organizations in Asia in information technology. Besides, the iDEA Project received international recognition at the WITSA Global ICT Excellence Awards-2020 as runners-up in the Public-Private Partnership category. The mentioned achievements are a huge achievement for the iDEA project which will serve as an inspiration for further success in the future.
