TechIPI provides specialized legal advice on intellectual property and technology transfer to commercialisation, IP due diligence, consulting, mentoring and training in innovation/invention from idea to market. Consulting and mentoring in the engineering IP and innovation is a specialized skill offered by TechIPI.The company is headed by Professor Gary Atkinson-Hope, who holds a PhD in electrical engineering, is a qualified lawyer with specialisation in intellectual property, and is a Registered Technology Transfer Professional (RTTP), one of the few in South Africa. Professor Atkinson-Hope also serves as an advisor on the Minister of Science and Technology's National Intellectual Property Management Office Advisory Board (NIPMO).
