The University of Shanghai for Science and Technology (USST) - a key university in Shanghai and with the support of the Shanghai Municipal Government - established the Sino-British College of USST in partnership with nine leading English universities in the Northern Consortium. The collaboration implements the Shanghai Municipal Government's strategies to revitalise the city through the development of knowledge and skills in science and technology, being in great demand, in order to support the continued growth of advanced manufacturing and modern service sector industries.SBC was formally established in 2006 with the approval of the Ministry of Education and is licenced to deliver our UK partners' degrees and USST degrees. A full college of USST, SBC led the way in multilateral collaborations, with nine UK partner universities, and uniquely provides multiple, flexible pathways to British degrees.With outstanding teaching resources and experienced international lecturers, we are firmly grounded in central Shanghai. Our vision is to be a centre of excellence for internationalisation with our partners by being a gateway for both education and research.
