Sustainable Initiatives is a consulting/ action research group, based in Karachi, Pakistan that represents a resource pool of academics, engineers and scientists, who in their individual capacities and experience cover a wide range of disciplines from environmental engineering to development and social sciences. The team of Sustainable Initiatives has worked on a number of projects related to the environment and social sectors having both national and international significance. Areas of work covered include environmental planning/ management, environmental education/ training, environmental impact studies, urban governance and development and advocacy work involving public participatory approaches.
