Assistant Hatchery Manager/ Fisheries Biologist at DOWNEAST SALMON FEDERATION - Columbia Falls, ME, US
(DSF - Est. 1982) was created to protect and restore Atlantic salmon and the watersheds and habitats the species requires. Originally composed of anglers, the organization now uses a broad approach to accomplish its goals including land trust activities, hatcheries, laboratories, technical support and outreach directed toward the increasingly diverse conservation needs of this region. The DSF serves to conserve wild Atlantic salmon and salmon habitat, restore a viable sports fishery and protect other important river, scenic, recreational and ecological resources in eastern Maine.
