Avon Archaeology Ltd began in April 2013 as a direct continuation of Avon Archaeological Unit which was originally founded in 1992. Based in Bristol, we are a small team of six highly qualified archaeologists with a wide ranging set of skills and experience with fields of special expertise in Historic Landscape and Building Analysis, Survey, CAD Illustration and Artefact Analysis. Though our work generally serves the construction industry, fulfilling planning obligations in relation to archaeology, however we have also been involved in outreach projects; training volunteers and giving presentations to local schools. We provide a number of services including: Archaeological Project Management; Site Investigations (Watching Briefs, Evaluations and Excavations); Desk Based Assessments and Impact Assessments and as mentioned above Historic Landscape and Building Analysis, and Surveying. We are genuinely committed to providing a high quality service through our work.
