Cai Na Capoeira is the birth of our Cai Movement. Translated as "Join Capoeira," cai literally translates to fall. In capoeira, as in life, we fall - it is an important part of any learning process. At Cai Na Capoeira we strive not only to inspire people to join in on the fun of capoeira, but to learn to fall safely, gracefully, and to get back up and keep moving.Capoeira is an Afro-Brazilian art form that incorporates elements of sport, music, martial art, and dance into a game of physical dialogue and expression. We work with capoeira as a tool with the objective of engaging people of all ages and capacities in the principles of cooperation, mutual respect, community building, cross cultural learning, personal discipline and presentation of self. Our guiding principle is that every individual is capable of exploring and expanding their physical and psychological horizons through play, music, activity and community.
