Yeh Mera India is a non profit,voluntary selfless service organisation which has been engaged in humanitarian, educational, healthcare and environment activities for the betterment of the society since its inception in 2018. Founded by Mrs. Smita Agarwal, along with like minded souls, it has become a significant forum to facilitate and contribute positive change in the society as a whole. Within a span of one and a half years ,we have been able to foster the following notable Initiatives amongst several others: - Tree Plantation of more than 3000 trees in a year.- Education in the slum areas where we have adopted three Bastis. - Upliftment of women in bastis through, promoting and training BENGAL Kantha art. - Setting up 2 sanitary napkin plants with production of 1000 pads daily as employment generation & health development in the rural areas. -Setting up of innumerable vending machines & computer labs.- Setting of Apni Almari underwaste management where we donate our extra items like books, clothes etc and other materials which can be further used.- Regular contribution of books to about 14 Street libraries.-Regular eye cataract operations,blood donation and health checkup camps.-Our 7 day event of selfless service Seva utsav.Even amidst this lockdown, through our FEED ONE FEED ALL INITIATIVE, we are providing cooked food and uncooked ration to at least 2,500 people daily. We have extended our hand of support to the Sundarbans, Belgharia, Salt Lake, Topsia and Diamond Harbour areas and also places near public hospitals, touching lives, touching hearts, adding a colour of hope.Due to the cyclone Aamphan, there has been massive devastation and Yeh Mera India aimed to reach out to most people. We have already undertaken the mission of Re -plantation of mature trees to minimise losses as much as possible.
