Cancer shows no mercy. One-in-two men and one-in-three women will have cancer in their lifetimes. It has touched every one of us in some way. Our mission is to provide funding for the best cancer research ideas at San Diego's three National Cancer Institute-designated cancer centers - Moores Cancer Center at UC San Diego Health, Sanford Burnham Prebys Medical Discovery Institute and Salk Institute of Biological Studies along Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego. 100% of the funds raised stay in San Diego with these beneficiaries. It is our hope that research funded by Pedal the Cause will ultimately lead in a collaborative way to a cure for cancer.Padres Pedal the Cause is a one-day event that brings together cancer fighters, families, friends, and the life sciences communities to get active and raise funds for cancer research.
