Starting in late 2020, my partner (Tom Posner-Gonebrain) and I (Justice McKinney-Spring) created Dot Art Studio in an effort to combine our artistic ventures. The goal of Dot Art Studio is to further our personal and collaborative artistic journeys while ensuring that these journeys are having a positive impact on the world around us. In the future, Dot Art Studio would like to develop two support spaces for fellow creatives - one in the physical and one online. The online space is a discord server centered around health, wellness, and community. It is a space where creatives of all levels can build relationships and collaborative opportunities, find inspiration and learn about supporting their mental health. The physical space would be in the form of a mobile art studio. DARTS would use this space to cultivate vibrant communities by providing experiences for children and adults to foster creativity and build relationships. A mobile art studio also allows us to host art shows/residencies practically anywhere.
