We live in an interconnected world – the health and wellbeing of the environment, animals, and humans are intertwined in ways that become more apparent each day. Tackling the greatest challenges of today, whether it's climate change, pandemics, or drug resistance, requires an approach that recognizes these relationships. The One Health Trust (OHT) was founded with the objective of using research to support decision-making to improve the health and wellbeing of our planet and its inhabitants. OHT builds on the vast experience of the Center for Disease Dynamics, Economics & Policy (CDDEP), which, for more than a decade, has conducted actionable research on major global health challenges including Covid-19, antimicrobial resistance, hospital infections, tuberculosis, malaria, fiscal policies to reduce non-communicable diseases, pandemic preparedness and response, vaccines, and medical oxygen shortages. OHT's work expands on these questions to take on issues related to climate change, biodiversity protection, and the future of our diets. At OHT, we believe that answers to the world's most critical questions lie between disciplines. Accordingly, our researchers employ a range of expertise—including economics, epidemiology, disease modeling, risk analysis, clinical and veterinary medicine, geographic information systems, and statistics—to conduct actionable, policy-oriented research. The One Health Trust has offices in Washington, D.C., and New Delhi and has researchers based in North America, Africa, and Asia. Our projects are global in scope, spanning Africa, Asia, and North America, and include scientific studies and policy engagement. We are experienced in addressing country-specific and regional issues and global challenges. Our research is renowned for innovative approaches to design and analysis, and we are committed to communicating our work widely to diverse stakeholders.
