EQUATE is a children's rights organisation which advocates for a substantial change in how primary and secondary school education is delivered in Ireland. We believe that education is a fundamental cornerstone of our society and our schools must operate in the best interest of all our children. We believe that our education system must be fit for purpose in the 21st century, reflecting the diversity of our families, our communities and our society. All children must experience equality in their local school and we are working so that no child is isolated because of their identity, family background, faith or non-faith. To create this environment, we advocate for substantial and lasting changes in our education system across admissions, curriculum, patronage and management. We believe that our publicly funded education system must be equally available to all our children and our schools must prioritise equality.
