2017 marks the 100th year of service for KASB. Through each decade, our Association has adapted to serve the needs of a diverse membership. Many of the changes throughout the years were in response to changes in public education and the changing role of boards of education and leadership teams. \\But there is so much more to our story than can be found in dusty old newspaper clippings and minutes from past meetings. KASB has always been a proactive, future-facing Association, at the forefront of influencing education policy and providing guidance to our members as they work to create the future for the children in their communities. \\The Kansas Association of School Boards is a not-for-profit organization located in Topeka, Kansas and dedicated to serving members of governing boards for unified school districts, community colleges, area vocational-technical schools and cooperatives, interlocals and regional service centers. Vendors, exhibitors and other service providers can also become members. \\Currently the association represents 285 school districts and 39 cooperatives, service centers, community colleges and technical colleges. We also have service associate members and associate members (former boards of education members).
