Maryland Community Connection (MCC) is a non-profit 501(c) (3) with the mission of assisting children and adults with developmental disabilities to achieve a greater degree of social and economic independence. Established in 2001, MCC was founded by André Coates and Kimblyn Snyder, both of whom have loved ones with disabilities. MCC supports individuals with developmental disabilities by providing opportunities to be more deeply connected to the community through employment and recreation activities. MCC provides Family & Individual Support Services (FISS), Supported Employment (SE), Low Intensity Support Services (LISS), & Community Supported Living Arrangements (CSLA) services to individuals with developmental disabilities. MCC provides services including employment training and placement, economic assistance, and social activities. MCC has consistently provided services that enable individuals to maintain stability in the community through employment, rental assistance, utilities, medical expenses, adaptive equipment, and transportation. MCC programs stress community integration and focus on individually designed services to help people with disabilities live independently and as part of their community. Maryland Community Connection has grown dramatically since its inception. Today, MCC has grown to serve more than 500 individuals in Prince George's, Charles, St. Mary's, Montgomery, and Calvert Counties.
