Arlington/Roe was founded in 1964 by Francis Roe, father of president and owner, James A. Roe, and is respected nationwide as a Managing General Agent and Excess & Surplus Lines Broker.Begun as a general agent for mobile home insurance, Arlington/Roe has expanded to include other specialties: Personal Lines, Commercial Property and Liability (Underwriting and Brokerage), Commercial Auto/Transportation, Aviation, Bonds, Professional Liability, Workers'​ Compensation and Healthcare & Human Services. Jim Roe's oldest son, Andy, is executive vice president and manager of the Brokerage Division; Patrick, Jim's second oldest son, is also a vice president and is director of marketing, primarily responsible for business development. Jim's daughter, Katie Roe Weiper, is in administration; and his wife, Vickie, is in personal lines customer service.
