It's a pleasure to work with children, adolescents, and young adults/adults to develop skills for everyday life. For more than 20 years we have specialized in working with children and adolescents who experience challenges in school. We are experienced working with those with social skills issues, mood issues, distractibility/inattention, nervous feelings, grief and loss, trauma, and general developmental issues. We enjoy using and integrating creativity into treatment approaches to engage our clients. The use of play, art, music, games, role-plays and computer media are integrated into our treatment, with the specialness of each client in mind.SERVICES INCLUDE:*Individual Therapy: Childhood and adolescence are unique times in life, therefore we use creative treatment approaches to engage with them towards their growth and development including the use of art, play therapy, games, books and videos. These sessions are designed to meet the client at their development stage, keeping in mind their strengths and interests.*Family Therapy: Family therapy involves counseling sessions with some, or all, family members, helping to improve communication skills among them. Treatment focuses on problem-solving techniques and can help parentsOur sessions are designed to help the family understand the situation and identify tools for making positive changes in how they deal with stress and how they can better support the child and one another.*Group Therapy: In certain cases, the right option is group therapy, where clients meet to solve problems and learn new skills (such as social skills or anger management).*Consulting: MCCS works with parents and caregivers to understand how to work with the school system and find solutions to challenges related to:-Behavior-Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)-504 Plans-Rights for Special Needs Children-Transition Services*MCCS also works with adults with special needs and challenges with transition services.#nowhiring
