Together Project, a project of MakeWay, matches "Welcome Groups" of five or more Canadians or established newcomers with newly-arrived Government-Assisted Refugees and Refugee Claimants. We work in Toronto and Mississauga.Together Project operates on the hypothesis that access to social networks can lead to more rapid and durable integration, and that offering a venue for connecting Canadians and refugee newcomers leads to more inclusive, safer, and resilient communities.Together Project understands integration as a dynamic process of adaptation between newcomers and host societies. This dynamic process is the backbone of Canada's multicultural project.
