The Center was founded in 1990 to assist adults in the Grove City area who are in need of literacy help. This help can take the form of assistance in improvement in math or reading skills, in order to gain employment; or, help in obtaining a GED. Since it's founding, the Center has helped approximately 50 adults each year. The Center is funded by the Grove City United Way, local citizens, and, since 2011, a contract for services with the Butler County Community College.
