SHOEBALOO, a company founded by the entrepreneur Hartog Streim in Amsterdam, has built a reputation as the foremost source of high end designer footwear, bags and accessories in the Netherlands and beyond. The SHOEBALOO success story started in the early seventies, with a small store in the infamous Jordaan area in the city centre of Amsterdam, when selling the popular Spanish boots ‘Botas Camperos'. With a growing fashion clientele, the company decided to relocate in 1983 by opening a store at the Koningsplein, Amsterdam, selling solely men's shoes. In less than a decade a second store was opened in 1991 in the high end designer shopping street the P.C. Hooftstraat, Amsterdam. The P.C.
