Green Apple Cleaners also strives to be an environmental steward in all aspects of its operations and community partnerships. By issuing free, durable garment bags we avoid using disposable plastic bags. When customers state a preference for clear plastic, we use biodegradable bags. We have a comprehensive recycling program, from hangers to paper products. We continually upgrade our delivery fleets and a software program alerts management if a truck is left idling for a minute. We buy wind power for our stores and plant, and we contract with a sustainable printer when we must use hard copy materials.Green Apple Cleaners sponsors the Newtown Pippin Restoration, which donates heirloom apple trees to schools, gardens and other public spaces throughout the city.
