MVI offers services along the Monongahela River and its tributaries in three Southwestern Pennsylvania counties: Allegheny, Washington and Westmoreland. From our offices in the heart of Homestead, the Mon Valley Initiative continues to strive to meet its mission of working together to unite the communities and restore the economic vitality of the Mon Valley. We work to meet this goal by renovating and constructing high quality, affordable housing and assisting communities to develop and maintain their main street districts; by providing individuals with the tools they need to enter in to the workforce; by providing in-depth, one on one housing counseling services to put people on the path to successful home ownership and by helping member Community Development Corporations to become efficient and effective organizations.
