I would like to present you my new restoration and conservation Atelier A&R that has opened in collaboration with my friend conservator Rachel Houssin in November 2010 in Amsterdam.After years of working nationally and internationally by our own account, we decided to join our experience, knowledge and skill in a new studio, which is located on Singel. This decision marks for us the beginning of an exciting new chapter, since our collaboration will enable us to combine and enhance our expertise and resources to a great degree. In this way we can offer our customers the very best measures for preservation, restoration and investigation of art objects. Nearly all historical periods, methods and materials are covered by our portfolio. Our working method is as careful and meticulous as ever. Together with our customer we begin by determining a sound restoration plan. Our combined knowledge will ensure that the adequate treatment is found for the task at hand - and that the materials used will stand the test of time as well as possible. As a standard, our work is guided by the principle of doing justice to the historical nature, appearance and characteristic material properties of the art object. We also think that a good communication with all parties involved is crucial for a satisfactory result.
