Bequant is a start-up founded by the founders of Netspira Networks, a Spanish start-up and a pioneer in the field of deep-packet inspection for mobile broadband. Netspira was successfully acquired by Ericsson in 2005, where the Netspira technology provided the DPI functionality of the Ericsson mobile core network products. At Bequant, after 5 years of R&D work, we have developed and patented a state-of-the-art TCP stack and a transparent gateway, which is the basis of our BQN product. The BQN product is a network node we sell to mobile and fixed-network carriers, corporate clients and CDNs, which can significantly accelerate TCP traffic, while also allowing the most sophisticated bandwidth management and network visibility.Having secured our first round of financing, with a 1.8M€ investment from Inveready, a leading Spanish VC, we have become one of the most successful network optimization companies world-wide, with over 250 networks using our product.
