LabraFlora is an industry specialist in the manufacture of natural and innovative superfoods & ingredients from the Brazilian savanna. Our US office is in Los Angeles and our factory is located in Jussara (in the state of Goiás), in the heart of the Cerrado, an enormous savanna ecosystem that marks the transition of the Amazon Biomes, Atlantic Forest, Caatinga and Pantanal. To ensure quality and safety, our factory follows Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) as required by the Brazilian Government and our products are analyzed by a third party laboratory. Because of its strategic location, we are able to access a broad range of unique superfoods and ingredients that grow in the region. Our Baru Superfoods are considered the best quality in Brazil due to the size of the seed. Our Baru Superfoods are also environmentally friendly, as the trees require no irrigation (in contrast to most other nuts) and no chemical inputs ( they are "passive organic"). With a firm commitment to the ethical value chain, we develop partnerships with the farmers who wild-harvest these incredible foods. Each product you purchase from LabraFlora provides income to farmers so they can maintain the endangered savanna—one of the world's threatened biodiversity hotspots—rather than deforesting it to make room for soy, palm, or sugarcane crops. In addition to Baru products, we also sell other sustainable products, including babassu oil.
