As an independent design firm, we provide unbiased services relating to all aspects of light and lighting design. Our mission is to raise awareness of the importance of good lighting design, to produce inspiring lighting solutions, and to provide consistent, excellent service in the realisation of these designs.Although Light Works specialise in creative solutions we are also qualified Illumination Engineers. As such, we are committed to keeping abreast of advances both in ergonomic research and illumination engineering technology, so we can advise our clients from the most informed level possible.Light Works bring an international perspective to lighting design in New Zealand, functioning in a complementary capacity to architects and interior designers. Because the range of products and design software available in New Zealand has expanded in recent years, the advantages of good design techniques are becoming more apparent - and with that, the value lighting designers can add to a project is increasingly appreciated. We work closely with the design team to evolve creative ideas and lighting concepts that will complement the overall design. We lease with the electrical engineers or installers to ensure the design is both practical and cost-effective, and that the final result is the best one for the project. Finally, we follow the project through to completion, to ensure that all aspects of both design and installation are successfully addressed.
