University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust hosts one of only 20 BRCs and one of only 23 CRFs in the country. Together these are at the frontier of research into illnesses linked to respiratory conditions, cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes, chronic kidney disease, and the consequences of inactivity. Our overall purpose is to translate scientific breakthroughs made in early to late phase experimental medicine into diagnostic tests, preventions and life-saving treatments for our patients.We support capacity building through partnership with industry and the third sector.
