The Eastbay Astronomical Society (EAS) serves Bay Area residents and astronomy enthusiasts with events, classes, and Oakland's premier views of the universe. The club hosts a weekly free telescope makers' workshop and monthly free astronomy lectures at Chabot Space & Science Center in Oakland — the general public is welcome to attend.
