SaltRiver is a company registered and operating from Auckland, New Zealand since 2008. With 3 partners and extended team of 7+ talented individuals(as of Nov 2014) we are focused on developing technology in waterjet propulsion. Recent developments in several external technologies have allowed us to move forward in developing innovation in how waterjet propulsion is delivered and experienced in sub 10m vessels. Our passion is having a superlative boating experience regardless of it being a commercial or recreational situation. With that objective we see significant gaps in the current offerings to people who wish to utilise waterjet advantages in their vessel. For the most part they are forced to accept compromises which are unacceptable to us. We know how enjoyable and functional waterjet propulsion can be when the compromises are removed. We assembled a vessel to prove it and this knowledge is the confidence we take forward with us. Done well, a water jet can deliver the safety, performance, ease of operation and pleasure in a way that no other propulsion can. It becomes an addictive experience. To deliver that has forced us to innovate in almost every aspect of the engineering involved. It is this process in which we are now engaged. Our vision is delivering a package that meets our expectations.
