#DALITWOMENFIGHT is a community led project to amplify the voices of Dalit women for justice. We are a group of young Dalit women working to strengthen the rights based activities towards access to justice for women survivors and victims of caste violence through a team of young women leaders. Our mission is to build a critical mass movement lead by young Dalit women leaders; working to create community-based movements that have specific frameworks in place to effectively challenge, tackle, and solve caste-based violence and discrimination; and the culture of impunity. Our goal is to have a group of independent, efficient, young Dalit women leaders to monitor caste atrocity cases independently. We have been engaging in grassroots activism through leadership building, fact finding and following up of on previous cases of caste atrocities. We hope to create a rapid response team comprising of lawyers, media persons, and activists etc who will undertake rapid fact finding investigations on cases of violence against Dalit women. We also aim to strengthen the team of young Dalit women students and activists to nurture and sustain women's leadership within the movement. With minimum support so far, the Dalit Women Fight's team has been able to work closely with Dalit women survivors, conducting fact finding, monitoring cases, providing psycho-social support and also been able to create awareness on rights and entitlements in the community. We are resisting. We are fighting. Join us in dreaming of a gender just world by breaking caste and patriarchy.
