The Studio of Skip Rohde is an independent fine art studio focusing on people and social issues. Past series of paintings have examined aging, political discourse, and the effects of war. These artworks have been exhibited across the southeast and have won awards in regional and national competitions. The "Faces of Afghanistan", a series of about 80 drawings of rural Afghans, is now in the Smithsonian Museum of American History.In addition, the Studio creates artworks for public and private clients. Past commissions have included a signature artwork for a national hotel chain, murals for businesses and private homes, portraits, and other types of artworks.
