The Rattray family, pioneers of Heritage Tourism in South Africa, offervisitors an opportunity to experience the extraordinary saga of theAnglo Zulu War. The Lodge and Guest House are set within the 2 000hectare Fugitives' Drift Game Reserve, which overlooks the battlefieldof Isandlwana and is home to giraffe, plains game and numerousbirds. The Lodge houses a veritable museum of memorabilia, artefactsand relics. In a stunning setting overlooking Isandlwana and theBuffalo River, the spacious Harford Library provides a contemporaryvenue for lunch, parties or simply to relax. Both the Lodge and GuestHouse have extremely comfortable and spacious cottages, each with averandah. Both have swimming pools; the pool at the Lodge issurrounded by tranquil indigenous gardens.
