Our scalable solutions offer automated capture of behavioral phenotypes related to learning and memory, attention, motivation, feeding, aging, activity, and choice. We characterize the mental states of medicated, diseased, or untreated control animals in a search for the neural mechanisms of complex behavior. By specializing on invertebrate preparations, such as Drosophila, we exploit the existence of conserved molecular mechanisms across all forms of metazoan life with an opportunity to implement high-throughput approaches. Projects in zebrafish and mammalian models allow us to link data to clinical perspectives.
