Our innovative maintenance system is the first to facilitate high-quality rotor blade servicing in all weather conditions and temperatures. Its enclosed maintenance chamber protects operatives from wet and cold weather, thus creating a professional, workshop-like environment in which inspections, maintenance and repairs can be carried out all year round – quickly, cost-effectively and on schedule. This is possible thanks to the use of a novel moving floor which seals the chamber to the rotor blade as tightly as possible. Another special advantage is the system's suitability for a variety of application scenarios – it can be adapted to a range of rotor blade sizes and types without the need for modification. What is more, the fact that the floor of the chamber extends right up to the surface of the blade guarantees unhindered access to areas where repairs are required. WP Systems GmbH is a specialist mechanical engineering firm headquartered in the town of Ruhland, Germany. The firm's goal is to successfully commercialize its patented rotor blade maintenance system, which features an enclosed maintenance chamber facilitating in-situ rotor blade inspection, maintenance and repairs in all weather conditions. The initiators of this innovative development project can point to over 20 years of experience in the wind energy sector. Working in close cooperation with providers of wind power services throughout Germany, our team of experienced aviation development engineers and professional industrial designers has taken the service platform back to the drawing board.
