OEC Training Centers is an independent business that was established to provide training for the Outdoor Emergency Care (OEC) credential. The training focuses on the needs of the care-giver in the non-urban environment, including river raft guides, mountain guides, search and rescue groups, and parks and recreation employees. The course also is taken by other outdoor enthusiasts, who recognize that first aid knowledge can save a life in the wilderness.The OEC course is the award winning training program developed by the National Ski Patrol (NSP) in the mid-1980's and is recognized in all 50 states as the standard of training for emergency care in the outdoors.
