FIRM HISTORY // Cindy Tyler founded Terra Design Studios in 2006, based on a lifelong passion to reunite people with the natural cycles of the earth through the landscapes around them. Over a decade later, this philosophy endures in everything we do. Headquartered in Pittsburgh, PA's historic South Side neighborhood, Terra has a broad national reach including Master Plans for over 45 teaching landscapes in 18 states. Our landscape architects have worked alongside some of the nation's pioneers in public garden, family garden, university, nature preserve, zoo, and sustainable design practices, and we are poised to integrate this accumulated body of knowledge into the fabric of your project.OUR PHILOSOPHY // At Terra, our mission is to create landscapes that teach, inspire, and succeed. Each of our projects aims to educate and encourage people of all ages to find a connection to nature.
