As one of the Midland region's longest established firms of Chartered Surveyors, Godfrey-Payton offer a diverse range of property services to private, corporate, and institutional clients. Although our history dates back as far as 1806, we are proud to provide a twenty-first Century service very much based on personal contact and specific client need. The firm evolved from three companies, the first based in Coventry – Walter P Evans & Company and founded by Robert Evans, father to Mary Ann Evans better known as George Eliot the novelist, and original agent to the Fitzroy Newdigate Estates at Nuneaton; the second being H G Godfrey-Payton and Co., based in Warwick and being appointed Agent to the Earls of Warwick at Warwick Castle and we have occupied the same offices on 25 High Street since 1918; the third was Greville-Heygate & Company based in Market Harborough and managing a number of Northamptonshire and Leicestershire Estates. The name has shortened in more recent times to simply Godfrey-Payton (GP) and through the acumen and stewardship of its Partners both past and present has evolved into the multi-disciplined firm of today. Although our roots are still firmly based in rural estate management we now cover all property areas to include commercial, residential, utilities and telecoms. Whilst immensely proud of our roots and pedigree we are also a forward thinking company who have embraced the newer property sectors and have acted in the telecoms and utilities sectors for in excess of 15 years. We believe our strengths lie in the stability and flexibility of our company combined with the experience of our resources to deliver not only sound estate management practices but innovative solutions through the thorough understanding of our client's objectives. With offices in Warwick, Coventry and Market Harborough we offer wide geographical coverage.
