OD Group was created in Ibiza by CEO and owner Marc Rahola back in 2000, and has been growing dynamically ever since. The group advanced with the acquisition of Hotel Ocean Drive Ibiza and of Hotel OD Can Jaume, also in Ibiza, and continued to grow with the opening of Hotel OD Port Portals in Mallorca. Another opening in 2014 was the Ryans Ibiza Apartment, a lifestyle aparthotel in Ibiza. In May 2015, the new Hotel Ryans La Marina and Ryans Pocket Hostel were opened in the port of Ibiza, offering 60 rooms.
