Founded on April 28, 1996, the Brazilian Society of Administration in Ophthalmology - SBAO was born from the perception of members of the Cataract and Intraocular Implants and Refractive Surgery Societies of the need to offer means so that the Ophthalmology services could have better trained professionals for the management of their services, and also the growing interest of Brazilian ophthalmologists in issues related to the administration of their clinics. Gradually, it gained visibility, through participation in ophthalmological congresses held throughout Brazil. SBAO is a non-profit entity, whose objectives are the promotion and dissemination of knowledge in its area of ​​activity, as well as the establishment of actions aimed at supporting the management of ophthalmological offices, clinics and hospitals.
