The company was founded in 2014 with the mission to engineer a rotary engine able to effectively control the scientifically proven Homogeneous Charge Compression Ignition (HCCI) combustion mode. The Research & Development activities have resulted in two provisional patent applications, then combined in a Patent Cooperation Treaty in March 2015 (PCT/CA2015/050229). US Patent Number 9,435,257 was finally granted in September 2016.Customachinery Inc. has collaborated with several academic partners such as George Brown College (prototyping), Queen's University (CFD analysis) and Sheridan Pilon School of Business (market intelligence). Noteworthy, the partnership with Queen's University has received two grant awards by Ontario Centres of Excellence. We are now leveraging the acquired know-how and expertise to offer the following services: product design and development, engineering and project management, technical writing for SR&ED and government funding.
