Core members also come from outside the industry, working in areas such as flexible displays and high throughput automation. This combination of deep solar expertise and outsider push has resulted in a product that fundamentally rethinks the physics and mechanical strength of a crystalline solar cell. By starting from first principles and designing for optimal performance, the team has come up with a solution that is simultaneously incremental and disruptive.
