Vivante Espero is an informational, educational, and charitable non-profit corporation that exists to educate and inform the general public about laws and policies that dehumanize individuals previously convicted of a sexually-based offense and who are required to register. Vivante Espero seeks to raise the public's awareness about the direct and collateral harms associated with public registration, residency restrictions, civil commitment, criminalization of consensual sexual activities, punitive treatment of pre-trial detainees, excessive or disproportionate criminal sentences, and other related harms.Vivante Espero will foster collaboration among all its component parts as well as its sister organization, the National Association for Rational Sexual Offense Laws (NARSOL) in order to maximize its impact on current efforts. Vivante Espero may also seek to collaborate with other non-profit organizations which fall under the 501(c) (3) section of the internal revenue code and are operated exclusively for educational and charitable purposes.
