IHO was formed in 1976 (as Irvine Housing Opportunities, Inc). to assist local government and industry in addressing housing for low to moderate-incomes in Irvine, CA. In 1981, IHO developed the first 100% very-low income apartments for seniors and disabled in the city of Irvine. Today, Innovative Housing Opportunities owns and continues to develop quality communities throughout Southern California for seniors, families, veterans, and others. IHO is a growing, fiscally sound, mission-driven 501(c)(3) organization that puts people, communities, and their needs first. We are committed to developing and owning beautiful permanent affordable rental homes with innovative services and strong community connections.
