The Global Emergency Medical Registry was formed in January 2004 in order to meet the needs of medical professionals working in the international community. The Registry exists to provide a "3rd-party" competency and assessment of personnel from throughout the world, considered against the Registry recognized scopes of practice and curriculum. This service allows governments, agencies having jurisdiction (AHJ), and industry to be assured of the provider's competencies, education, bi-annual continuing medical education (CME) and current skills documentation required for renewal.
