Family business, venturing in different activities, mainly industry and IT. Our focus is on Africa & Europe.It operates on two foundations:1. When residing in Europe I had a successful consulting & engineering business for 25 years. I gained trust with major clients in oil & gas, chemical, EPCM, metals, automotive & food industry. Successfully completed complex multi-disciplinary projects. I bring this experience now to the African market.2. IT, more specific open source, always had my interest as a hobbyist. Spending free time in researching and implementing it for private use. Today, the technology has matured, ready for implementation in businesses. At low cost, I believe it is the perfect match for developing markets with limited funding like Africa.These pillars are the basis for the companies business, founded by me in Uganda. We are currently in a funding & start-up phase. Activities are delivered under following active brand names:-- CEAvo / Afritastic Belgium --Project management, consultancy, engineering and inspection services,Resourcing of engineering and construction projects.-- ITs Afritastic --Research, development & integration of open source based IT data & applications. Focusing on machine learning & linked data. Feasibility, app development & implementation of these technologies in project, engineering & asset management.Open geographical data creation, support and implementation of geospatial data applications.Past, inactive brands and activities:- Am Smart - Fashion & beauty centre. Started and managed this business together with my wife.- Afritastic Planet Ruigo -Tourist resort. Modernised the energy supply and managed it in a partnership. Tripled the customer base within 2 years.- Afritastic Electronics & Tourist Gear -Started a retail business in electronics (mainly mobile phones & cameras) in Fort Portal, a small town in rural Uganda. Turned it in a profitable business with high service delivery within 2 years.
