Medo Publishing was established in 2006. Where the Sun Shines, There Are Chinese is the first and presently, the only book that is published by Medo. A team of over 20 members comprising of professionals and scholars worked with concerted efforts on this book volume on the story of the world's Chinese. From 30th of September 2007, the journalists started their journeys to different parts of the world to collect historical data as well as up to date research of the overseas Chinese. Around the world, they have researched the everyday lives of the Chinese in various regions by immersing themselves in the various aspects of their lives. This included their livelihood, marriages, festivals, education system, media and community organisations. On the 21st of April 2009, the writers finally completed the fieldwork in 106 countries, and by mid-July 2009, the research and analysis on the 97 countries were completed. In October 2009, we completed the research work on 203 countries. After that, the articles were strictly reviewed by our experienced editors and scholars. Through the years, Medo has taken a step at a time towards the whole world. We started from zero, accumulated data of the overseas Chinese bit by bit, and established a communication network that covers the world's Chinese. Our ultimate mission is to offer our sincere greetings to the world's Chinese by including the essence of our research and fieldwork in this book.
