MES International School , Pattambi was established in 1978 with a view to provide quality education to those who are deprived of it. It is sponsored by the Muslim Educational Society, Calicut and is managed by the local unit of the same organisation.The school had its humble beginning in 1978 with the KG classes being conducted in a thatched shed. Permanent recognition for L.P. was granted on 1 June, 1985 and for U.P. was granted on 26 July, 1993.The school got affiliation with the CBSE, Delhi on 1 April, 1992, with affiliation No. 930072.Our School is the First school in Kerala with the fully digitalized SMART Class Rooms Program helps and improves teacher effectiveness and productivity.We have also started Montessori education with a Montessori designed activity room in 2007.A new Educational Program called X-Seed has been introduced from last year in classes IV to VII. This has a fully activity based curriculum that gives emphasis on learning by doing which builds strong foundation of concepts and strengthens communication and expression in all kind of learners. In the year 2012 we received the First National School Sanitation Award from Dr. M M Pallam Raju, Union Minister of HRD in the presence of Shri K. Srikkanth, Former Captain of the Indian Cricket Team & the Event Brand Ambassador,Shri R. Bhattacharya , Secretary, School Education & Literacy MHRD and Mr. Stephan Helming, Country Director, GIZ.
