Who We Are Over the past 12 years, Shoulders of Strength has provided our communities and their families with exceptional support coordination services. SOS is proud to announce that as of 2015, we now offer therapeutic services as well. Our agency currently provides services in three regions: Region 2- Baton Rouge, Louisiana Region 7- Shreveport, Louisiana Region 8- Monroe, Louisiana Shoulders of Strength is designed to provide services to children, adolescents, and teens across the Northeast Louisiana region. The population we serve will be equipped with the tools necessary to break free from the destructive cycles controlling their lives. With our help these individuals will be able to live healthy, independent, productive lifestyles. Who We Serve Shoulders of Strength offers the Early Steps program which provides services to children ages 0-3 years old along with the therapeutic services program is designed to serve children, adolescents, and teens that are 4-17 years of age. Individuals must meet specific eligibility requirements prior to services being rendered. Although SOS would love to provide services to every person in need, there is a criteria that must be met prior to receiving services. Eligible persons include: children, adolescents, and teens with significant needs impacting their behavioral health. Our Mission It is the mission of Shoulders of Strength, Inc. to identify and utilize community resources to determine strengths, assess needs, and assist in the comprehensive planning of services that will enable families of children and adults with disabilities to achieve and maintain personal goals.
