The WHO Foundation is tackling the biggest and most pressing global health challenges faced by humanity today, while preparing for those we will face tomorrow. We have to be far more prepared to avoid further pandemics, prevent climate change health challenges from crippling our health systems and to get preventable diseases under control. The lives of future generations are in our hands. ​ The Foundation works alongside the World Health Organization (WHO) to deliver Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 3: To ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages. We are a non-profit charitable foundation, focusing on reducing health risks, eradicating diseases and creating stronger health systems. We achieve this by building awareness and getting the world ready for any health emergency that may arise. We target research-driven initiatives with the potential to give people greater opportunities to live healthier.​ Our aim is to save lives by uniting everyone in global health – we bring together all those who can play a role, including donors - to rapidly find new solutions. We create collaborations based on aligned interests and big ambitions. We believe in leveraging the strengths and expertise of all our partners, while releasing previously unavailable funding and resources. Building a healthier future for people around the world demands flexible co-ordinated efforts on a scale that has never been seen before. ​ We must work as one world to overcome today's urgent global health challenges and save lives. ​ Together, we have so much to achieve.
