In 2013, the Social Justice Film Festival returns with programming on a range of social justice issues, and a special focus this year or issues of prisoner justice.The festival will include programming and speakers focused on issues like Juvenile Justice, Solitary Confinement, Incarcerated Mothers, "New Jim Crow," Illegal Detention, Three-strikes Laws, the Prison Industrial Complex, Education in Prison, Preparation for Reentering Society, and Prison Reform.Programming in the general panorama includes a broad survey of many of the pressing social justice issues of our time, with films focused on the environment, native peoples, food insecurity, race, peace, and poverty. Some films in the program are a call to action, while others offer an inspiring look at people working toward positive changes.
